David D. Hess, M.D. received his B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1980 and his M.D. from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1984.  He completed his internship and residency in 1987 in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He spent the next year at Good Samaritan Hospital as Chief Medical Resident.  He entered private practice after he completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center (affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine) in 1990.  His primary office is located at 3248 Westbourne Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248.  He serves on the medical staffs of Good Samaritan Hospital, Mercy Franciscan Hospital, and Deaconess Hospital.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He completed his board recertification in Gastroenterology in November 2003.  Dr. Hess enjoys all aspects of patient care, and he has a special interest in biliary endoscopy and in the management of Barrett's Esophagus and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
